Atelier

At Art Village Nursery, the Atelier is a welcoming and inspiring place offering a variety of natural and handmade materials for children’s artistic expression. The culture of our atelier gives identity and shape to the educational project of the Reggio Emilia approach, where small groups of children and their teacher work collectively. The environment in our Atelier promotes creativity, knowledge, and aesthetics. In the Atelier, we observe the enormous amount of attention and effort that goes into the design and organisation of space and materials to maximise the ease of use by individual children and small groups of children working together. Our Atelier reflects the centrality of the child and the relationship with the nursery, it is the children themselves who contribute colour through their artwork.
