Teacher and Pupil
Settling In

A whole new world will open for all children starting at a nursery. No matter how old the child is, they will need an introduction to life at the nursery. All children are different and therefore the settling in must be individualized. We find that allowing parents to stay with their child until the child feels comfortable in their new surroundings is so much more beneficial than asking parents to leave! The parent will gradually withdraw themselves for longer and longer periods. The teacher’s role is to ensure that every child's care is tailored to meet their individual needs, in order to help the child become familiar with the setting, and to offer a settled relationship for the child and the parents.

Settling into school

We collaborate with many different schools to prepare the children and their parents for transfers. We share knowledge, experiences, and information about the content of education in order to create continuity and progression in the development and learning of children.
